Custom Paintings

Your screenshots, your art, your friends' terrible drawings — hung on the wall in Minecraft. Turn any picture into a real painting you can place, from a 1×1 to a full 4×4.

Add pictures below and they'll hang here at their real size in blocks.

Upload an existing .mcaddon or editing backup to add or remove paintings

Already made a gallery? Drop its pack here to pick up where you left off — or its .paintings.json backup to get your original pictures back too. Or start fresh by adding pictures below

PNG, JPG or WebP, as many as you like. We'll pick the best-fitting size for each one — you can change it after.

Everything happens in your browser. Your pictures are never uploaded anywhere.

How It Works

Three steps. No file surgery required.

1

Add Your Pictures

Drop in any pictures you like. Each one gets a size in blocks — anything from 1×1 to 4×4 — and you can drag to crop, zoom in and give it a name. Up to 100 paintings of each size, 900 in total. Hit download and we package it into a ready-to-go .mcaddon, right here in your browser.

2

Install It

Open the .mcaddon and Minecraft imports it. Create or edit a world, go to Behavior Packs and activate it — the Resource Pack comes along automatically because the two are linked. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.50 or newer. Runs on the stable Script API, so no experimental toggles. Works on Realms and servers too, and console players get the paintings just by joining.

3

Hang Them Up

Anyone can type /paintings:gallery to browse the gallery, filter it by size or search by name, and grab a free copy of any painting — no cheats needed (or limit it to creative mode or operators in the options). Use it on a wall with enough room and it hangs itself, snapping around the block you clicked just like a vanilla painting.

Changed your mind? Hit the painting to take it back down. And just like a vanilla painting, it pops off if the wall behind it is mined, blown up or pushed away by a piston.

Removing a Painting

If you remove a painting from your pack, any copies already hanging in your world will disappear when you install the update. Every painting keeps its own permanent slot, so removing one never shuffles the others around — the rest stay exactly where you hung them.

Already Got a Pack?

Upload your existing .mcaddon at the top of the page. We'll pull out every painting in it, let you add, rename, resize or remove them, and repackage it with a bumped version number. Same UUIDs means Minecraft treats it as an update — no need to remove the old pack first.

Paintings read back from a pack are already cropped and shrunk to size. To re-crop from your original pictures later, save an editing backup when you download, then drop it into the same upload box at the top (or ). Every download moves the version on by one, so a backup saved afterwards is always ready for the next update.
